This is a hybrid position. Ideally, we want someone onsite at our location in the Orange County or LA County area 3-4 days per week.
The IT Director is responsible for managing IT operations. Daily responsibilities consist of managing team members, the service management processes and the expectations of approximately 300+ end-users. Active communication to the Leadership team as well as end-users to inform, educate, and monitor technology innovations, adoption, usage, and satisfaction is paramount.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
The Director will establish goals and develop project plans in support of objectives in their offices, monitor and report on progress in completing projects, accomplishing goals, and establish, communicate, and interpret changes in guidelines, policies, procedures, and other related matters. IT Operations include:
Cyber Security
· Provide NIST / CUI compliance guidelines and promote cyber standards across the organization.
· Build out Cyber defense capabilities including tools, processes, and trainings, to ensure full compliance to standards and establish reporting to the leadership team.
Service Desk Management
- Manage incident support groups and implement Service Management best practices.
- Review monthly service desk performance report, and make adjustments as required.
- Review, report Production downtime metrics with a focus on Incident / Problem Management.
- Implement Change Management across the organization to ensure all changes to Production are documented and approved before going live.
- Review Incidents exceeding target resolution times and escalate as appropriate.
- Review daily service desk activity reports.
Administration and Personnel Management
- Ensure adequate training and application of standard operations and procedures.
- Manage team members on quarterly goals and objectives.
- Conduct mentoring sessions with team members on monthly Professional Development.
- Directing IT staff and contractor recruitment and directly supervising IT team members.
Business Services & Analytics
- Good knowledge of FedRAMP compliance regulations and Government compliance regulations.
- Will be responsible for all business systems including D365 Project Operations.
- Responsible for building data intelligence and analytics solutions for business reporting.
- Monitor the data integrity process, backup, restoration, and archiving.
Infrastructure Management
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of Infrastructure equipment.
- Supervise the deployment of IT Infrastructure equipment, services, or solutions.
- Evaluate proposals of suppliers of IT equipment, software, telecommunications and other services ensuring that all business and IT requirements are met.
- Manage the changes to the IT Infrastructure with all the functional teams.
- Take ownership of efforts to ensure IT Infrastructure maintains 99.5% high availability.
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working with and managing geographically diverse operations.
- Ability to work with customers in a way that drives high customer satisfaction and increased engagement.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics specifically D365
- Must have the ability to attain U.S. security clearance.
- Must have a track record of successful project implementations, planning timelines and achieving goals.
- Ability to assess and recruit top candidates, train new IT staff, and motivate team members for high performance.
- 12-15 years of experience in management experience in an IT operations capacity in the Aerospace Engineering, Defense or Government industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field
- Experience managing and mentoring staff across multiple office locations.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- · Experience managing and mentoring staff across multiple office locations.
- Good knowledge of FedRAMP compliance regulations and Government compliance regulations and NIST and CUI.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
- Minimum 10+ years of management experience in an IT operation to include Cyber Security, in the Aerospace Engineering, Defense or Government industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field capacity
- Implementation project experience
