Job Description

Director of IT and Analytics

Full Time Direct Hire

Salary is ~$165-205k and 20-25% bonus

Hybrid, desired onsite is ~3 days a week

San Diego 92128 (Carmel Mountain near where the 15 meets the 56)


Required:

  • Extensive experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects
  • Experience with CRM and ERP Software
  • Able to be strategic and tactical; lead, manage, and be hands on when needed
  • Experience with Data Analytics / Architecture
  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunication systems
  • Able to manage a distributed team including nearshore contractors

Summary:

You will lead the IT and corporate analytics functions by focusing on business operations process harmonization and act as the top IT business partner – providing critical support for the growth trajectory of the organization. This position will lead, plan, and provide oversight of all internal IT operations across the organization, as well as support existing applications and development of new technical solutions. This role is responsible for understanding our current cloud-only trajectory, technology platforms and strategy to ensure that we have the right business processes, tools and capabilities required to deliver on our future technical needs. The Director should be comfortable being hands-on while still providing strategic leadership direction and tactical support.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to the on KPI's, metrics, and business decisions including accurate analysis of user and business data
  • Approve purchases of IT equipment and SaaS software solutions and systems, including strategic partnership with IT providers that align with the IT/Co strategy. Manage the overall IT capital and expense budgets
  • Select, design and implement suitable technologies to streamline internal operations and help optimize strategic benefits in alignment with the Company’s growth plans
  • Lead technology vendor selection activities related to business applications, manage vendor relationships, negotiate vendor contracts with focus on improving total cost of ownership and complete system-wide integrations
  • Outline IT strategies and objectives that are aligned to the Company’s growth plans
  • Partner with outsourced IT counterparts to drive successful implementation of systems and processes that effectively address end-user needs
  • Lead reporting and analytics functions across business classes utilizing analytics and reporting tools
  • Manage and develop support team and process -- evaluate support requests and system issues to conduct impact analysis and recommend solutions
  • Manage Corporate IT functions/technology including IT Support, Microsoft Suite, Salesforce CRM, Sage/Netsuite ERP, Procore Construction Management Software, and Corporate Data Analytics
  • Lead and develop a collaborative team, focused on providing efficient and timely solutions to key business challenges in multiple, sometimes overlapping functional areas
  • Analyze emerging technologies, changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage while translating impact on current and future business processes
  • Develop a strong understanding of the current business and information technology platform to ensure that we have the tools and capabilities required to deliver on our business and technical commitments
  • Head of IT, manages a team of 6+, reports to VP of Finance
  • Lead applications integration department to drive hyper-efficiency and automation between systems and data integration
  • Articulate and define mitigation and prioritization strategies for support issues as they appear
