Director of Indirect Sourcing Pharmaceutical Manufacturer

· Salary range: $160,000-$190,000 and 20% bonus and other LTIs

A mid-sized pharmaceutical manufacturer is looking to add a brand-new position of Director of Sourcing to their indirect procurement team in their Parsippany, NJ office. This company prides itself in its passion driven culture that is patient focused. Their goal is to bring better solutions to long term pain management.

The Director of Indirect Sourcing will lead a team of 2 highly skilled individuals and have the opportunity to grow the team in the future as the company continues its growth path. This position reports directly into the Senior Director of Finance. This person will be very hands on and get the opportunity to work in a variety of functions. This person will be strategic in mindset but also do tactical buying for this role.

The Director of Procurement will have the following responsibilities:

· Head the indirect and clinical sourcing categories with the related team

· Collaborate closely with the Finance department

· Oversee a broad range of indirect categories

· Manage a spend of around $300 million

· Work closely with the Director of Procurement Processes

· Develop and continue to improve SRM approach for materials management

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

· Experience purchasing indirect categories such as HR, IT, and other professional services

· 10+ years of procurement/buying/sourcing experience

· Strong leadership skills and the ability to think strategically

· Life science industry experience preferred
