Job Description

ATLANTA, GA (must be willing to commute onsite 3 days per week)

Responsibilities:


Strategy & Planning

  • Identify and qualify new vendors to secure cost-effective sources.
  • Develop and deliver purchasing and inventory reports.
  • Monitor spending trends and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Analyze market conditions for pricing, availability, and lead times.
  • Establish and enforce supplier guidelines and service level agreements.

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Draft and submit budget proposals.
  • Collaborate with senior management to define purchasing strategies.
  • Manage IT hardware, software, and equipment assets.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and warranties with key suppliers and vendors.

Operational Management & Reporting

  • Oversee sourcing strategies from start to finish.
  • Coordinate equipment delivery, installation, and storage.
  • Maintain regular communication with executives and department heads.
  • Ensure the quality of vendor services.
  • Standardize equipment where possible.

Vendor Contract Process Development

  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure vendor compliance.
  • Establish contract management procedures and templates.
  • Assist in developing statements of work and contract documents.
  • Work with legal representatives to insert appropriate legal protections.

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Handle internal contract-related issues.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Establish governance for vendor interactions.

Vendor Contract and Market Insights

  • Ensure competitive pricing through benchmarking.
  • Communicate contract overviews to key stakeholders.
  • Manage contract review meetings and report progress.
  • Stay updated on market trends and vendor performance.


Requirements:


Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of contract management experience, with a focus on technology or IT services such as MSP (managed services providers), labor, voice, hardware, cloud, etc.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365 (heavy Excel).
  • Global experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working with various departments and knowledge of procurement practices.
