JOB SUMMARY:

The Food & Beverage Director is a member of the resort leadership team for Lee Canyon. Overseeing all Food & Beverage functions including three outlets, banquet/event sales and production, and all resort custodial functions. The role requires a strong ability to develop relationships with key business partners and other functional groups. The Food & Beverage Director will develop concepts that are able to bring Lee Canyon's brand vision to life through culinary activation and guest experience. They will also be strategic and solutions oriented with strong leadership and extensive top-notch food & beverage expertise, encompassing multi-outlet high volume operations.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

End to end hands-on management of the Food & Beverage division guest experience, ensuring for the overall quality of products and services.

Education:


Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of training and experience to compensate a degreed program.


Experience:


7+ years of proven leadership in Food & Beverage management.


Skills:


Extensive experience in high volume, full service, fast casual, and quick service operations including front and back of the house.

Strong learning agility enjoys and excels in environments where he/she must tackle and solve new and increasingly complex challenges.

Strong track record of leadership growth and team development.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and inform cross-functional teams, business, and vendor partners.


Training:


Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and products.


Certifications:


ServSafe, and Alcohol Awareness Certifications (required prior to start of job).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties assigned as needed)



1. Work with the General Manager in creating, implementing, and measuring success of annual Food & Beverage division plan in alignment with Lee Canyon's strategic plan & resort wide initiatives.


2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders / partners / to promote business opportunities and operational efficiencies (profitability).


3. Financial management of all Food & Beverage operations, including budget development, obtaining financial contribution goals through maximizing revenue, managing COGs, labor, and expense.


4. Builds and develops a talented team that aligns with resort goals and culture and can deliver to established operational standards.


5. Oversee all day-to-day management of the Food & Beverage division, including daily active hands-on time in each outlet.


6. Oversee banquet and private event sales, planning, and execution. Work across divisions to ensure a seamless guest experience.


7. Establish and model a high standard of operation and guest service. Monitor quality of overall Food & Beverage products to ensure exceptional guest experience in alignment with Lee Canyon goals.


8. Leads the charge in progressive menu development, pricing, recipe costing and standardization of portion controls.


9. Work with Marketing department to ensure promotion of Food & Beverage products and services in alignment with annual marketing plan.


10. Ensures that all Food & Beverage operations are exceeding required sanitation practices.


11. Responsible for day-to-day up-keep of Food & Beverage facilities to meet standards for safety, cleanliness and overall appearance, inside and out (including restrooms, snow removal, and exterior signage).


12. Ongoing maintenance/administration of Food & Beverage POS functions ensuring timely creation, testing, and functionality of new products.


13. Overall responsibility for coordinating all Food & Beverage staff hiring, training and staffing.


14. Oversee daily POS cash/audit function of Food & Beverage departments.


15. Work with Finance department to ensure vendor invoices are received and coded correctly.


16. Work with Health & Safety Manager to develop and implements safety training for Food & Beverage departments.


17. Strict Adherence to all state and federal employment laws, company policies and safety standards.


18. Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
