Job Description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for the management and support of all food & beverage purchasing, focusing on developing a procurement strategy and leveraging vendor partnerships.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Building on our established network of partnerships, solicit bid proposals and select the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality and cost-efficiency. Manage supplier relations and negotiate contracts, pricing, timelines, and all other related items.
  • Responsible for the development of long- and short-range purchasing objectives, supplier allocation, pricing, and contracts.
  • Maintain clear and organized records of the supplier database, purchase records and related documentation.
  • Partner with Store Managers and leaders to conduct inventory audits as needed.
  • Achieve established gross profit levels while maintaining a competitive cost basis through negotiation and vendor relationships.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Monitor and manage supplier compliance to contract terms, product availability, quality and service level expectations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of purchased items to correct locations. Oversee items received, ensuring all inventory is properly recorded. Troubleshoot delivery issues and oversee return processes with vendors.
  • Report all product breakages, reporting discrepancies and patterns of loss to management.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Previous experience in quick-serve restaurants strongly preferred
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and work with figures
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a F&B Purchasing role
  • Basic computer skills are essential, with an emphasis on Microsoft Outlook & Excel and POS comprehension
