Director Of Distribution And Logistics

The Distribution Diretor will lead the way in ensuring efficient and seamless distribution and logistics operations for our client. As a key member of our supply chain management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation, warehousing, and inventory management activities across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize transportation operations, including carrier selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead a team of distribution and logistics professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and company policies related to distribution and logistics operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, streamline operations, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement strategic distribution and logistics plans that align with organizational goals and objectives.
• Oversee warehousing and inventory management processes, ensuring accurate inventory levels, efficient storage, and timely order fulfillment.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all distribution and logistics activities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in distribution and logistics management, preferably in a group or multi-location setting.
• Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management concepts, practices, and technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels of the organization.
• Proficient in using supply chain management software and technology tools.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and process improvement.
