Sr. Director Of Logistics

We are looking for a Senior Director of Logistics in the Twin Cities area.

Salary 165-185K plus bonus and incentives.

As our Senior Director of Logistics, you will direct and administer the logistics network. You will apply industry best practices and analytical methods to understand, predict, and improve the logistics processes, ensuring optimal performance of inbound and outbound shipments.

Responsibilities:

• Establishes and maintains strong relationships with third-party transload, trucking, and ocean freight providers to create rate agreements, manage contracts, and ensure ongoing relationship management accountabilities can be leveraged for future growth initiatives.
• Develops and implements all aspects of the strategic logistics plan, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the roadmap is achieved
• Ensures team success by providing ongoing coaching and development, recognition, open and honest communication, and an overall engaging environment.
• Builds and leads a team of logistics professionals that effectively collaborate, develop, improve, and execute creative solutions around Bulk Rail, Bulk Full Truckload (FTL), Intermodal, Full Truckload (FTL), Less Than Truckload (LTL) and Small Pkg.
• Manages freight contract terms and renewals and rate estimates to support the business’s requirements for growth.

Education and/or Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience working in Logistics, preferably experience in Bulk Rail, Steamships, International Containers and Domestics Intermodal, FTL and LTL via a TMS.
• 3+ years’ experience leading teams in the delivery of technology driven connectivity and solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Logistics, Communications, or related field.
• Industry experience in B2B or B2C logistics with spend greater than $75M.
