Job Description

OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking a Director of Corporate Development to support the CEO in the rapid expansion of a Middle Market PE-backed platform supported by a strong Franchise Brand. The role will be based in Seattle, WA. The Director of Corporate Development will report directly to the CEO. In concert with the PE-sponsor, this individual will focus on executing a large volume of transactions and building a scalable process.


This role will be responsible for supporting and managing the execution of the add-on growth strategy within the core business. The individual will be directly involved in managing the Business Development strategy through transaction diligence and execution, and financial and operational analytics and modeling. The Director of Corporate Development will also support investment underwriting and organic growth initiatives.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the management of organic business development initiatives
  • Develop in-depth investment memorandums and present them to the investment committee
  • Manage execution of add-on acquisitions within the Pacific Northwest
  • Serve as the business development lead that sets the strategic direction and regularly interacts with other key members of the management team
  • Assist with partnership negotiations and new market entries
  • Lead deal-related analysis, including financial modeling, due diligence, and deal structuring/negotiations
  • Manage the prioritization of transactions and review existing franchisee transactions


QUALIFICATIONS

This is an excellent position for an individual that recently graduated from a top-tier graduate business program or has 4+ years of deal execution experience and has broader corporate development and management aspirations. The successful candidate will be motivated to help execute the investment thesis of the company and possess the following qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to co-workers and clients
  • Minimum of 4 years of total work experience, including 2-3 years of Private Equity/Corporate M&A deal experience
  • Strong desire to learn and serve as a valuable team member
  • Strong organizational skills; must be able to manage and prioritize multiple business objectives and projects with the proper sense of urgency
  • Ability to lead a deal process from initial screening of the opportunity to close of a transaction
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
  • Ability to work in an autonomous, fast-moving environment
  • BA/BS degree in Economics, Finance, or a business-related major
  • Experience in Automotive, Consumer Services, or Franchise Business models preferred
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills; ability to present concisely and with detail
