Job Description

Looking for a Director of Convention Services for a multi million dollar luxury hotel in Miami Beach, FL.


Qualifications

  • Hotel experience a plus.
  • 5+ years experience as Director of Convention Services in a high volume, complex environment.
  • Strong budgeting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assign groups to CSM's taking into account workload, scheduling, customer knowledge, group intricacies and history.
  • Train, supervise and work with all convention services staff, in order to solicit and book banquet and catering functions, as well as the planning, merchandising and execution of the functions.
  • Implement contractual clauses in all group contracts. Ensure that deposit schedules, room and space releases clauses and all concessions are adhered to.
