JOB TITLE: Director, Corporate Facilities/General Services – Tampa HQ


LOCATION: Tampa, Florida


REPORTS TO: Assistant Vice President, Corporate Facilities & General Services


Job Summary


The Tampa HQ Director of Corporate Facilities reports to the AVP of Corporate Facilities & General Services (GS), leading the GS function and supporting the Tampa team in the areas of day-to-day facility operations; office environment and space management; annual budget and capital improvement planning; financial tracking, analysis & reporting; and any additional tasks or special projects that may be assigned to the Tampa & St. Petersburg campus. Reports to the AVP of General Services and partners closely with the LUSA GS team and Florida campus employees.


Key Job Accountabilities


  • Partner with L’Oreal GS team to support all “design/build” projects for space build-outs, ensuring integrated service during and post-construction; furniture procurement, installation and maintenance; voice, data & media; employee moves; and post-move activities and feedback for continuous improvement
  • Utilize WISP tool to ensure efficient and effective people management impacting both people experience and budget
  • Manage site GS financial controls, Workflow operations and other related operational procedures for campus operations; report any monthly variances to AVP of GS along with action plan, as appropriate
  • Meet with site employees and HR regularly to review current performance and anticipate future needs
  • Implement, manage and audit Site Security Access process, including badge protocols
  • Inspect, review and audit as needed to ensure compliance with all regulatory permits and all relevant City, State and Federal agencies and departments
  • Daily oversight of all mail/shipping deliveries, site cleaning scope and all other matters relating to servicing/upkeep of the facility and office environment
  • Provide direction to the outside vendors, including but not limited to electrical, carpentry, moving and janitorial staffs
  • Review Calendar & visits with AVP of GS to ensure preparedness of space and teams for any significant events or meetings
  • Daily oversight of all office services, acting as primary liaison with managing agent/landlord; manage any special requests based on existing SOPs, processes or protocols
  • Implement and support all site Health & Safety initiatives, ensure a safe and clutter-free workplace, and drive site sustainability initiatives in alignment of L’Oreal for the Future commitments.
  • Coordinate the daily responsibilities related to the management of Tampa site facilities with a specific focus on delivering high customer service and stakeholder-perceived value


Competencies Required


  • Minimum of ten years facilities/project management experience or relevant experience
  • Excellent planning skills with the ability to establish and manage priorities
  • Bachelor’s Degree or advanced education preferred, with proven ability to learn and apply, along with strong problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Hands-on, functional knowledge of corporate facility operations, including mail/shipping operations, cleaning services, security services and food services
  • Displays strong personal initiative and can work both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong oral and written skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the extended L’Oreal workforce, from hourly contractors to senior management
  • Familiarity with architectural plans preferred
  • Demonstrated social skills and the ability to network and influence stakeholders
