Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities

The position / individual is responsible for guiding the Madison Air 80/20 operating system principles, strategy, methodology and tactics across the platform in conjunction with support from Business Leadership.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Segmentation development and planning efforts
  • Work with businesses to rethink how to over serve 80’s customers through structure, programs, terms and conditions, One to Perfect, Raving Fans, etc.
  • Conducts internal 80/20 trainings and provides ongoing training with 80/20 champions to stay current and share best practices
  • Leverage 80/20 operational expertise to onboard new acquisitions alongside business unit leadership
  • Set the calendar and cadence for 80/20 activities for Madison Air and facilitate a comprehensive annual 80/20 review to Madison Air Leadership
  • Assist Business Leaders with identifying and onboarding in-business 8020 leads
  • Assist and teach quad/quartiles analyses
  • Audit Model Cell development, implementation and results
  • Guide business optimization and analysis efforts to facilitate strategic resource allocation
  • Understands strategic initiatives to help prioritize projects
  • Support Presidents and GMs to drive 80/20 methodology and processes
  • Develop and maintain new employee and new leader 8020 training programs (sales, operations, general)
  • Works with business leadership to set priorities to improve efficiency, enhance profits, and stimulate growth.
  • Responsible for driving 8020 consistency and sustainability in the businesses
  • Develop and refine business filter to not allow complexity to creep back into portfolios
  • Assist Business efforts in complexity reduction by facilitating rapid improvement events
  • Train and implement Zero Up process to Budget planning cycle and new business opportunities i.e. acquisitions, new segment opportunities.
  • Coach business to rethink and rescale resources to focus on their key products and customers


Experience & Competencies:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with virtual teams and processes that transcend international regions.
  • A leader who is self-confident in his /her own abilities, who is always available to coach or counsel others. A perceptive, forthright individual with high integrity and sound judgment.
  • Excellent analytical and teaching skills with the ability to translate complex situations into information that will support the profitability and growth of the business.
  • Demonstrates the ability to build relationships and persuade others to achieve excellence while fostering an environment of openness and teamwork; a supportive manner that facilitates his/her ability to achieve results.
  • 10+ years’ experience in leadership positions, as an 80/20 practitioner or 80/20 consultant that has the ability to teach, coach, and do analysis work in support of growing the business with an 80/20 mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, operations management or business. MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrates organizational abilities and excellent project management leadership expertise. Outstanding oral and written communication skills, which includes active listening.
  • A high energy, results-oriented person who is not afraid to take charge and has a high bias for action.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • A well-developed business sense, which will include a general understanding of the various Madison Air markets, customers and competitors.
