Job Description

Phidiax is looking to extend our team with a Director of Business Development. Phidiax is a Microsoft Managed Gold System Integrator with proficiencies: Integration, Azure Cloud, Data and Analytics, and DevOps. We are looking to continue growth in our offering, and depth in our expertise. We have served clients across the country for almost 15 years with an elite team of architects. We have maintained a small and agile footprint, and are now ready to engage growth mode.


  1. If you have been a primary force in a similar role and have built multimillion book of business in the past, this role is for you.

  3. If you have mastered services at a Microsoft consultancy solutions provider or managed service provider, this role is for you.


The Director of Business Development will be a Member at Phidiax and collectively push the organization to new heights. They will engage and establish new clients where we may contribute to client success by adding subject matter expertise to client technology initiatives.


  • Must have excelled within a Microsoft Consulting practice.
  • May have experience leading a Managed Service Provider, an Engagement Manager, or Technical pre-Sales.
  • Must have extensive experience in the Microsoft (and AWS) ecosystem.
  • Must have established relationships from past successful engagements.
  • Must understand consulting practice operations, perhaps have led as a Director.


Responsibilities

  • Work with staffing and recruiting to build high-performance delivery teams for your clients
  • Contribute to and support execution of the client expansion plan
  • Build client & alliance technical relationships
  • Provide technical aspects of solution proposals, SOW, and estimation
  • Understanding of customer problem and technical solution
  • Lead pursuits, understand and clearly articulate business problems and develop solutions
  • Identify business and technical opportunities
  • Initiate and develop senior level contacts including C-level contacts, but able to build relationships at all levels within target client organizations, including lower and middle managers, and business and technical staff. Build on existing contacts and relationships with current and targeted clients
  • Identify account risks and develop/implement remediation plans
  • Provide technical thought leadership across client portfolio
  • Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, customer investment, and discount rates. Upsell current clients
  • Establish trust, confidence, and partnership for the purpose of identification and capture of new business opportunities


Requirements

  • In depth Microsoft stack knowledge
  • Expert Cloud and Data, application and infrastructure, experience on Azure
  • Deep technical understanding of modern software development
  • Experience in migration and modernization of application portfolios; proficient in modern cloud architectures and the supporting technologies that support IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions
