Director of Master Scheduling and Planning

Newark, CA

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for and liaison with Sales, Logistics, and Manufacturing departments; collaborate with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs
• Participate in weekly Materials Requirement Planning meetings
• Participate in periodic forecasting meetings with Sales, Marketing, and other related departments; lead additional planning meetings with Sales, Production, Shipping, Purchasing, and Customer Service staff
• All other duties as assigned
• Integrate sales orders with master schedule; coordinate availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates
• Periodically compare current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; use judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed
• Maintain master distribution schedule for the assigned manufacturing facility; revise as needed and alert appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays
• Develop production plans for internal requirements such as Sales and Compliance
• Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure the short- and long-term build forecast including SKU requirements are built into the MRP
• Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure inventory levels are being met at FreeWire’s warehouse and the CM warehouse, ensuring that production requirements are being met

Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• 5+ years of related experience
• Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain
• Extremely proficient with production planning systems, such as MRP II
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

We provide compensation packages that include base pay, benefits, and equity, and it is not typical for someone to be hired at the top end of the range for the role. Actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including location, skills, and experience level.
