Brief Overview:
My client, a rapidly growing digital first brand within the US are growing at a considerable rate and as such are now looking for an Director Marketplace to come in and continue their growth within Amazon and other marketplaces. They are consistently the best performing brand in their product category and look to innovate in all areas including the product they sell, the technology they use, the people they employ and projects they run to gain a competitive advantage.
As the Director Marketplace you will be expected to partner directly with Sales, Marketing and Operations to help identify opportunities in the marketplace by using gap analysis, product and category research, and competitive analysis to maximize sales conversion.
This is an important and exciting role with a business that operate in a fast paced environment; the culture is at the heart of everything they do.
Director Marketplace - Responsibilities
- Serve as the marketplace expert with a deep knowledge of platform capabilities and business levers
- Evaluate competitive landscape and develop strategies to maximize business growth
- Driving revenue growth on marketplaces through a data driven approach. Ensuring that a clear activity plan is in place to achieve and surpass the budget targets, including promotional planning, seasonal phasing, NPD launches, advertising campaigns etc.
- You will have full autonomy and responsibilities for driving sales upwards across all marketplaces including but not exclusive to Amazon.
- Lead the development and implementation of brand-specific marketplace selling strategies
- Understand the online sales ecosystem and how marketplace and D2C should sit side by side and complement one another.
- Ensuring that your brands are represented brilliantly across the Marketplaces through best in class product content, including but not exclusive to; images, enhandced content, keywords, local language translation, advertising campaigns etc
- Have strong stakeholder management skills, they will have to know all business units well, and build relationships and influence, negotiate and update even whilst working remotely.
Director Marketplace - Requirements:
- Experience of building and executing a strategy around Amazon and other Marketplaces.
- Experience within Apparel/Fashion ideal.
- Proven experience of growing amazon account.
- Experience in a DTC product focused business/brand.
