Director Investment Banking - M&A

Our client, a leading independent mid-market US Investment Bank with offices across the globe are looking to add a Director into their M&A team in New York to work on transactions across the US.

Specifically looking for an MD who will be responsible to:

• Manage a team of investment bankers and support staff, providing coaching and mentorship to drive their professional development
• Contribute to the overall strategy and growth of the investment banking division
• Lead the origination and execution of M&A transactions in the US
• Work with other business lines and teams within the bank to cross-sell products and services and identify new opportunities for growth
• Build upon an existing client base and to further develop and maintain relationships with key clients in the region, including corporate executives, private equity firms, and financial sponsors
• Participate in business development efforts

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Entrepreneurial, and proactive
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a team
• Strong relationships with clients and a proven track record of origination and execution of M&A transactions
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on M&A
