Director, Global People Strategy & Programs


Summary


The Director of People Strategy & Programs plays a key role on the leadership team of the People function (People ExCo) at Cushman & Wakefield. As the chief of staff to the Chief People Officer, the Director of Strategy & Programs is responsible for enterprise-wide organizational coordination and close collaboration across many stakeholders, working with the People ExCo to ensure on time delivery of commitments.



Key Accountabilities Include:


  • Successful management of ~$80M global People Team budget, including allocations to the most impactful areas to enable business success. Tracking of ~600 headcount and internal and external investments across the function to ensure accurate accounting of all spend.
  • Plan and execute People team events to improve engagement scores as they relate to the Chief People Officer, such as town hall meetings, skip level discussions, lunch & learns and recognition programs.
  • Develop materials for presentations, interviews, executive sessions (i.e., Board of Directors, executive leadership, etc.).
  • Act as program manager for the cadence of initiatives that occur across the function, including key milestone delivery dates, communication dates & channels, and stakeholder groups impacted. "Plan the work - work the plan" - Ensure there is a proactive plan of events and deliverables and consistently track progress against the plan.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner and trusted advisor and ensure the continuity of operations across the People function.
  • Evaluate structures and processes and assess issues that serve as barriers to operational effectiveness and efficiency. Drive decisions and steer implementation involving the creation of new and improvements or streamlining of existing programs.
  • Support operational effectiveness of the team by performing ad-hoc analysis, acting as a sounding board for People ExCo and direct reports, and synthesizing feedback to CPO
  • Work with talent analytics team to conduct proactive analysis of labor, talent, turnover, performance and financial data and arrive at insights to support business and talent allocation choices.


Successful Candidates Will Have The Following Skills & Experiences


  • Ability to turn thoughts in to graphic representations using Microsoft 360 suite of products
  • Exceptional planning, organizational and program management capabilities; ability to manage multiple priorities at once and influence others to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills; demonstrated ability to turn data in to a story
  • Previous experience working with the C-suite of a global organization
  • Strong financial acumen; commercial understanding of real estate a plus
  • Previous experience in a consultant role – internal or external
