JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the leadership, direction and oversight of the maintenance activities and budgets of Facilities, Utilities and infrastructure resort-wide, including all labor and non-labor resources for Epic Universe. Support and encourage cooperation and partnership within all departments and divisions. Develops, executes, and oversees TSAT action plans, safety plans and training plans for the Facilities & Utilities team. Identifies, defines, and prioritizes capital and expense budgets in close collaboration with the maintenance and operation teams for all facilities and attractions. Manage all commodities and procurement of utilities and develop plans for energy conservation on a continuous basis. Support initiatives to continuously improve guest and employee safety.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees the work and activities of the Facilities and Utilities group. Establishes the department’s overall objectives and priorities in order to meet the highest standards for safety, reliability, compliance and show quality. Manage Facility and Utility assets by developing, prioritizing, and implementing planned and emergency maintenance programs for Epic Universe.
- Develops and oversees improvement goals, provides guidance to ensure goals are met, and communicates all goals to the team. Sets the facilities & utilities team’s strategic direction to ensure that their priorities are in line with those of their partners. Assists with the development of policies and procedures, predictive, preventative, and corrective technologies, and training programs to improve the overall performance of the facilities, utilities, attractions, and infrastructure. Identify and implement GSAT initiatives to reduce Facilities and Utilities related 11-D downtime occurrences. Partner with Facilities/Utilities engineering team to prioritize corrective actions.
- Financial responsibility. Ensure all Facility and Utility programs are kept on budget and overtime is kept to a minimum. Manage Capital requests and execution of approved Capital projects on a routine basis. Make sure all Capital needs are input into the system and priorities are reviewed on a regularly basis as well as adjusting LRP.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Responsible for Managing Facility and Utility projects at Epic. Interface with external Contractors to assure we are following the SOP and Creative intent. Meet with internal and external leadership on the status of each project that will affect the Weekly Resort Impact.
- Support growth and development of Facilities and Utilities teams and ensure all TMs are properly trained for respective work activities. Work hand in hand with all Directors within UO and attend pertinent Director meetings.
- Employee safety training, TSAT and EHS compliance are always the highest priority. Make sure TMs are working within compliance and are current on proper safety training and meet all safety regulations. Ensures that everyone on the team is safe by taking a proactive approach to handling safety-related issues, using PPE properly, having regular safety discussions with the team, and continuously analyzing all tasks for job safety.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business management or construction is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 10+ years’ experience required in Facility and Utility maintenance field with specific training and experience with maintenance and inspection; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Familiar with in ASTM regulations applying to theme parks.
- Strong analytical skills with a logical approach to problem solving, troubleshooting capabilities, a team player, organized, and self-motivated.
- Knowledgeable of materials, material properties, and characteristics.
- Proficiency in mechanical drawings and technical documents.
