Job Description
The Role: Direct Sales Manager


As the Direct Sales Manager, you will be a key member of the revenue team and our future success! You will be responsible for hiring and developing a high-velocity Account Executive team responsible for customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives, through a combination of coaching, strategy & talent management. You will work closely with various sales teams, ensuring the successful completion of product demonstrations, converting qualified leads into paid accounts.


We’re looking for someone who will cover the adrenaline of a startup entering its 13th year of hyper revenue growth. You will have a laser focus on coaching and metrics, with a proven track record of exceeding goals in a sales function, ideally as a team lead and managing a more transaction SMB sales team .


Your Most Important Initiatives:
  • Build and refine sales playbook with our Training and Development team and incorporate into ongoing sales training in order to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Hold the team accountable for their performance metrics while properly maintaining accurate records in the CRM system to track all sales activity
  • Develop & Execute a Strategic Plan
  • Increase Prospect Conversion & Pipeline Generation
  • Display key metrics in the sales area to track team and individual achievement through all stages of funnel (lead flow, activity performance, etc)
  • Maintain a fun, competitive, high energy environment people love coming to
  • Recruit, onboard, develop and motivate a team of Account Executives
  • Coach, Mentor, Build & Retain a High Performing Team


What Success Looks Like


  • Consistently hit team targets for revenue growth
  • Increase daily metric rates including but not limited to dials, emails, and demos completed
  • Increase conversion rate from Scheduled Demo to Close
  • Get 75% or more of the team above individual targets each month


What You Bring:


  • Energized and excited to work within a fast-paced, high-volume startup
  • A genuine passion for new emerging technology and helping businesses join the mobile-first world
  • And most importantly, you don’t just survive, you THRIVE in an atmosphere of constant change, agility and adaptability
  • Previous experience in a quota carrying sales position
  • 3+ Years experience in a sales leadership capacity is preferred
  • Highly effective communication skills
  • The desire to go above and beyond and take on new projects and initiatives as needed
  • Technical aptitude to develop a comprehensive understanding of our mobile application platform; with a continuous desire to learn more about GoCanvas and competing platforms
  • Someone who is cheerful and can lift others up, a person with a positive attitude, someone adaptive and open to change, and lives our values every day
  • Previous experience in a startup, and better yet, in a SaaS and/or mobile software company
