Dir Of Supply Chain

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as the Director of Supply Chain for our automotive supplier company. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing the supply chain operations across our eight plants, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of products to our customers. Proficiency in SAP is an absolute requirement for this position.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations across all eight plants.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, logistics, and customer service, to ensure effective coordination and integration of supply chain activities.
3. Implement and maintain best practices, policies, and procedures to improve overall supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
4. Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
5. Lead the development and implementation of inventory management strategies, including forecasting, demand planning, and inventory optimization.
6. Collaborate with suppliers to establish strong partnerships, negotiate contracts, and drive continuous improvement in supplier performance.
7. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal quality control processes.
8. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
9. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management, and recommend innovative solutions to drive operational excellence.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in supply chain management, preferably within the automotive industry.
3. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products) is mandatory.
4. Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing large-scale supply chain operations.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
6. Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and quality management systems.
7. Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
8. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
