Minimum 5 Years experience in Supply Chain Management

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Vice President of Supply Chain to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located in Metro Detroit. The ideal candidates should have hands-on experience in Supply Chain Management for a manufacturing company.

Requirements of the VP Of Supply Chain

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy while meeting deadlines
• Experience with Epicor
• Possess excellent communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal.
• Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
• Willingness and ability to be flexible and adapt to changing job requirements.
• Interact well with employees at all levels within the organization and be able to build and maintain positive working relationships.
• Must be self-directed and possess a high level of personal organization and drive.
• Experience with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel & Word
• Bachelor’s degree
• Customer focused attitude: desire to grow with and contribute to a customer focused organization.

Responsibilities of the VP of Supply Chain

• Ensuring that the company has adequate inventory of products to meet customer demand while avoiding overstocking or shortages.
• Reviewing reports on inventory levels and ordering additional supplies when needed.
• Working with other managers, such as the Vice President of Strategic Operations, to develop strategies that align supply chain activities with business objectives.
• Collaborate with other departments of the company in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs in supply chain operations.
• Developing a network of suppliers to ensure that the company always has access to the materials it needs at competitive prices.
• Managing the flow of materials through the supply chain by arranging for transportation, warehousing, and other services.
• Managing inventory levels.
• Develops and implements purchasing and inventory control procedures and sequence of operations within the department.
• Ensuring that all suppliers meet minimum quality standards for their products.
• Coordinating with other departments within the company to ensure that manufacturing, shipping, and other processes are carried out efficiently.
