Department Purpose
The marketing and communications team is part of the Enrollment Management Vice Provost’s Office. The website and multimedia specialist reports to the Enrollment Management marketing and communications director. Enrollment Management supports undergraduate student success by providing student-focused services to prospective and current students, along with their families.
Job Summary
The website manager is a member of the UC Davis Enrollment Management marketing and communications team. This position designs and manages both Enrollment Management and Undergraduate Education departments’ web presence. In alignment with the marketing and communications strategic communications plan and in collaboration with other team members, the web and multimedia specialist designs and maintains the units’ websites. Working within the university’s SiteFarm content management system, the engages department and unit leaders, other web-content contributors and project partners to ensure that content is current and high quality, and meets SEO, usability, accessibility and other standards. The websites are developed and maintained using the university’s Drupal-based content management system, SiteFarm. EM’s marketing and communications team is responsible for content, development and maintenance of the sites, with content contributions and updates from department partners. In addition, the website and multimedia specialist is responsible for developing subsites and working with partner site owners to ensure content is updated, professional and SEO optimized.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or related experience in digital media, digital design or a related field.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :
- Ability to multitask and organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion with an attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and to relate to others in a professional, helpful manner
- Knowledge of industry standard web-based programming languages features and capabilities of websites.
- Knowledge of content management systems used in the development, monitoring and administration of a website
- Knowledge of principles and best practices of web page and website construction and maintenance. Knowledge of web development and web-authoring applications including use of HTML.
- Ability to track website analytics and advise clients to make necessary adjustments in order to meet stated objectives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Experience and working knowledge of higher education and the student journey, from inquiry through graduation.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Comprehensive knowledge of UC Davis and its organizational structure.
