Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for a Development Officer in our Donor Development department. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. We are presently recruiting for an experienced fundraising professional who can secure donations from our loyal supporters. This is a dynamic and meaningful position for a development professional interested in purposeful fundraising.

The Development Officer is responsible to identify and cultivate prospective donors in the hospital’s community from whom to solicit gifts. Nurture donor relationships through regular contact, communication and recognition. For the purpose of fund raising, develops and maintains relationships with hospital-affiliated Shrine Centers and the local community. Acts as a resource to staff and general public regarding assigned areas of responsibility. This position requires the willingness and ability to travel as needed and willingness to occasionally work evenings and weekends when necessary.


Education


Bachelor’s degree in related field


Certification/Licensure


Professional development accreditation preferred


Experience


A demonstrable track record of fund-raising or similar accomplishments is essential


A working knowledge of all planned giving vehicles and prior experience with Charitable Gift Annuities Programs is helpful


Healthcare fundraising and supervisory experience helpful


Other


Donor database experience preferred


Current full vaccination status required
