The Sarasota, FL office of Homes by Towne, homesbytowne.com, a national home builder with a local commitment is seeking a highly professional and organized Administrative Assistant for the Design Center. For more than 70 years, Homes by Towne® has specialized in building condominiums and single-family homes in livable, well-thought out communities in Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Texas and Wisconsin. Our goal is to build innovative, beautiful homes with today's home buyer in mind.
This position will be responsible for general administrative duties as well as assisting Design Team with performing all processes needed to make and authorize all choices for To Be Built + Inventory Homes.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Gain proficiency by assisting Design Team for future cross-training to meet with buyers in their design selection process.
- Maintain professional appearance of Design Studio.
- General administrative support of the Design Team.
- Maintain calendar for Design Studio and schedule appointments for Design Team.
- Prepare customer change orders with Buyer sign offs.
- Input and maintain data for design choices in NewStar; responsible for accuracy and integrity of data.
- Request pricing from Purchasing Department via NewStar. Follow up as necessary.
- Update and maintain all master product spreadsheets.
Qualifications include:
- Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge; maintaining and creating advanced spreadsheets.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with NewStar Enterprise is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Working knowledge of NewStar program is a plus.
- Professional appearance and manner.
- Possess a positive and pleasant attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to use computer programs (i.e., Microsoft Windows, Bluebeam, DocuSign).
- Must possess a work style that is meticulous and methodical with an attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and schedules.
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a high-paced office environment with administrative responsibilities; construction background preferred.
