About this Job:
A Dallas based Interior Design Studio looking for a Design Associate.Needs to be an efficient employee, who can easily shift between creative and administrative tasks.Must be technically proficient in Sketchup, Adobe suite and AutoCAD.Must be self-sufficient, and very detail oriented.Ability to develop and cultivate relationships with clients and vendors. Have capacity for travel and extra work hours when needed to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead designer on client projects: Design Graphics, FFE Sourcing, Client Presentations, Interior
Installations, etc.
- Create design materials and graphics for client presentations - 3D, 2D, mock-ups and renderings, mood boards,
drawing and specification documents.
- Generate standard construction documents, models and elevations, on site sketching and measurements.
- Prepare furniture, fixtures, and product information and specs, layout, pricing and availability.
- Prepare material finish samples and technical specs.
- Manage and maintain office sample library, project folders and e-files, vendor listings and product catalogs, office systems and office supplies.
- Manage the company’s marketing strategy and social media profiles (Instagram, Facebook, website, etc.)
- Consistent and clear communication with lead designer on all deliverables.
- Pursue opportunities for continued education within design industry - certifications, design trends -research, product introductions, vendor presentations, and on the job experience.
Required competencies:
-1-3 year full time experience in design industry
- Fully Proficient in AutoCad; Google SketchUp: 3D Rendering, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Product merchandising experience preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must have meticulous attention to detail, strong organization and multitasking skills and have excellent
time management skills.
- Possess creativity and problem solving ability.
- Must be able to work independently and in collaboration with lead designer.
- Must have access to vehicle, be able and willing to drive and travel as required
