DEPUTY OPERATIONS MANAGER – Night Shift

Our Deputy Operations Manager oversees the operational strategy and efficient night shift operations in the manufacturing facility for performance results in safety, quality, delivery, cost, customer service and employee engagement. This is achieved implementing best-in-class manufacturing practices across training, documentation, production, inventory accuracy and delivering new products in accordance with Customer initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all employees respect and follow the procedures regarding safety, health, environment, and quality, and actively participate to the improvement of the Quality, Safety and Environment system in the area of responsibility.
• Monitor labor efficiency and propose actions to improve specific metrics in all aspects
• Deliver production schedule on time and within required guidelines agreed with the Customer
• Develop a formal and detailed training plan to be followed by operations for new hires and internal growth promotions. Monitors knowledge on standards is adequate and delivers expected outcomes.
• Manage the operation customer service expectations, within established expected efficiencies achieving operation targets
• Supervise the HS&E Compliance of the Operations to prevent recordable accidents of environmental violations
• Strengthen the adoption of a Lean Manufacturing culture, in coordination with group efforts across all operating sites. Foster a continuous improvement/Kaizen culture to drive improvements in operating and financial performance of the site
• Material control and inventory management delivering expected consumption / delta BOM within agreed or better scrap rates for operations

Requirements:

• 3/5 years of managerial experience in the production processes working in a multinational manufacturing environment, preferably in cosmetics, pharmaceutical or laundry care, with high speed and agile filing and packaging systems.
• Available for night shifts
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Problem solving
• Bachelor-educated, ideally with a technical qualification
• Process Oriented
• Application of the technological innovations in the production processes
• Fluency in English is a prerequisite
• Computer literate
• Lean Manufacturing processes
• Team leader
• SAP as a plus
