What You’ll Do
We are seeking a Merchandise Planner & Allocator, DTC who will manage both the merchandise planning and allocations for Wilson.com, physical retail stores, and retail activations. Planning both tops down and bottoms up at the item level by channel to deliver financial results. Allocating products to ensure in the right place at the right time in the right amount.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Review weekly store callouts and action any inventory or assortment opportunities or challenges.
- Manage the Open-to-Buy (OTB) process for assigned product categories – reconciling beginning-of-period inventory, sales, receipts and returns to ensure sufficient inventory to meet DTC sales targets.
- Deliver monthly and ad hoc sales & inventory reports
- Work with the Retail Operations Team to define maximum articles per store location and optimal inventory levels per SKU including managing the min/max guidelines per product class
- Review future contracts with DTC Buyer to ensure adequate future fill inventory to match demand trends. Collaborate with Supply Chain partners on any supply constraints or adjustments.
- Plan & forecast sales and inventory position for retail and e-comm monthly at the item, class and channel level, in collaboration with the global planning teams and business units.
- Recap business performance, reviewing any deviations to plan with DTC buyer.
- Identify out of stock and/or overstocked classes or items to DTC Merchandise Planning & Allocation Director and DTC Buyer and recommend actions to maximize sales or move through inventory.
- Support Operations & Consumer Service Teams to identify challenges in order allocation and order flow processes
What We Are Looking For
This role requires a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. This is an entry-level position and is a great way to learn the sporting goods and/or athletic apparel businesses.
Other qualifications include:
- Strong cross functional collaborator, innovative problem solver and able to work well under pressure
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of handling multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Passionate about delivering an exceptional consumer experience
- Strong computer proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically excel.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Positive, can/do attitude
- Strong analytical skills: detail-oriented and able to make data-driven recommendations
