On the FabGuard team, we develop software to collect, integrate, and monitor data from across the fabrication plant. Our products are already critical components for monitoring semiconductor manufacturing lines. Now, we are building the AI/ML tools our customers need to automate regulation and control of those manufacturing lines. The FabGuard Data Science team performs research and development of novel modeling techniques that enable this effort.

You will be empowered to design and develop a data science ecosystem to facilitate our work. Your primary functions will include developing and maintaining data infrastructure, automating data cleaning and feature extraction procedures, and contributing to our internal codebase. You will be expected to collaborate closely with Data Scientists on the development of novel machine learning algorithms, and may eventually lead development projects.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers and application engineers to collect and label manufacturing data
• Collaborate with other data scientists to develop features and ML for automated process control
• Develop robust methods and code to process data collected from the field in a repeatable manner
• Train other stakeholders on use of data infrastructure
• Prototype algorithms for proof of concept, validation, and software implementation
• Develop and support systems for testing of machine learning algorithms and their output
• Design and maintain on-prem data infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in applied mathematics/statistics, computer science, chemical engineering or related technical field
• Experience with agile development practices and Git version control
• Demonstrated ability in database design
• 3 years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing
• 3 years’ experience in a data science role
• Experience with C++ a plus
• Demonstrated ability with python
• Demonstrated expertise with SQL, Graph stores, and/or NoSQL stores
• 2 out of 3 of:
• 3 years’ experience in a data engineering role
