Data Engineer – Mostly Remote, Various Levels On Offer – Up To $200,000 Total Compensation

Build ETL pipelines using Snowflake working mostly remote in close collaboration with the Data Architect.

You’re going to be a key member of the team building this modern data warehouse and this investment manager. The data warehouse is at the heart of the business and is responsible for various data processes across the business. It’s used for various things, from internal business research and investments to external client reporting.

Collaboration is at the heart of the business and along with working with the Data Architect and wider data team, you’ll also work closely with the business to understand what else they may need from the data warehouse. Often you’ll need to speak to various non-technical members of the business to understand requirements before discussing with the analytics team to bring ideas to life. You’ll be encouraged along the way to suggest improvements that can be made to all processes and your ideas will be listened to.

You’ll have a varied workload, but mostly your focus will be on implementing and maintaining the design and development of the data warehouse which is currently being transitioned into Snowflake. You will be building various ETL processes and pipelines, along with looking at ways to make data analytics more effective across the business

The office is in Miami and Boston, and you’ll only need to go in a few days per month, so it’s a predominantly remote role if you want it to be. There will be some days when it will be ideal for you to be in the office but mostly you can decide when you’d want to go in. They do require you to be in the vicinity of the office but operate as a ROWE company.

In terms of experience you’re going to need to come from a strong background in data engineering, ideally within investment or asset management, with strong Python and SQL skills. It would be a huge plus if you have strong experience with Azure Data Factory and/or Snowflake too.

First year compensation will be up to $200,000 with salary expected in the range of $120,000-180,000 depending on your skills and experience. Benefits include employer paid health and dental, paid parental leave and investment in your future with annual learning and development budgets.
