Job Description

Job Title: Credentialing Specialist


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper credentialing and privileging of our CRNAs and Anesthesiologists. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of credentialing policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and track expiring licenses, certifications, and other credentials, taking proactive measures for renewals.
  • Assist in audits and reviews related to credentialing activities.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider files and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensure, certification, and continuing education requirements.
  • Communicate with providers and facilities to facilitate the timely completion of credentialing applications and updates.
  • Assist in payor enrollment and charge reconciliation.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry regulations and standards related to anesthesia credentialing.
  • Coordinate and manage the credentialing and privileging processes for CRNAs and Anesthesiologists within our Anesthesia Management Company.
  • Provide support and guidance to providers and facility staff regarding credentialing requirements and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external organizations to obtain necessary credentialing information.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in credentialing within a healthcare setting or anesthesia management company.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of credentialing processes, regulations, and industry standards specific to anesthesia providers.
  • Proficient in using credentialing software and Microsoft Office Suite - strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with providers, facilities, and internal teams.
  • Associate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with CAQH, NPDB, PECOS and other credentialing databases and systems.
  • Professional demeanor and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
