Paid Time Off

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Manager of Credentialing!


Responsibilities


The Credentials Manager is responsible for the facilitation of medical staff credentialing and privileging operations. He/she provides direct supervision to a professional support staff in administering all aspects of the credentialing services with a strong emphasis on the delivery of quality, efficiency and superior service. The Credentials Manager possesses and maintains current knowledge of Operational processes, regulatory requirements, Department Policies and Procedures, and hospital policies and procedures. The Manager will serve as the escalation point of contact for other team members and ensure smooth team operations, communication, and collaboration.


  • Ensure departmental guidelines support NCQA and TJC Compliance.
  • Track and trend in order to promote compliance, process enhancement and efficiency.
  • Oversight of hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other changes within department.
  • Directs the team to ensure all providers start on the expected start date and all expirable documents are maintained and current.
  • Attends Operational Leadership meetings.
  • Identify and analyze the design of jobs, work processes, work flows etc. for the department.
  • Aligns with Supervisor to ensure provider onboarding process is completed within established timelines (internally / externally) to include: Internal / hospital privileges, obtaining state licenses, DEA’s, CDS.
  • Implement appropriate changes to improve effectiveness, productivity and efficiency that support overall goals of the department.
  • Evaluate and distribute team workload.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, including individual and departmental goals.
  • Develop and manage audit activities in support of quality improvements, timelines, and accountability.
  • Uses professional knowledge and judgement to advise functional leaders.
  • Reports to Director credentialing data, significant issues, process improvement, staffing performance and planning.
  • Ensure the team is following all established processes, procedures and meeting established deadlines.
  • Coordinate team meetings and educational trainings in collaboration with Credentialing Director.
  • Assess systems and develop improved processes, while remaining in compliance with credentialing guidelines, state and federal statutes, standards, and regulations.
  • Performs employee evaluations in accordanc e with HR policy to evaluate performance, address concerns, and set goals. Employee feedback, whether positive or educational, is provided at a minimum on a quarterly basis, or more frequently if necessary.

Education/Experience


  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university and 5 or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience


Certificates And Licenses


  • NAMSS Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred
