Job Title: CPG Business Analyst
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Business Development Analyst to join our team. This position will play an integral role within the Sales and Marketing Teams, reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales. This is a new role that will support achievement of growth targets in our pet and at home categories. The Business Development Analyst will be responsible for identifying and analyzing new business opportunities, developing and executing strategic plans to drive revenue growth, and conducting market research to inform our business strategy. The successful candidate will have strong quantitative skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for driving business growth. Success will be measured in driving profitable top line sales growth, execution of overall company strategy and goals and gaining new brand and product presence within the retail marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and inform our business strategy.
· Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
· Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify key growth opportunities and potential threats.
· Develop and maintain financial models to assess the feasibility of new business opportunities and inform investment decisions.
· Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track progress against business development goals.
· Build relationships with key stakeholders and partners to drive business growth.
· Support the development of sales and marketing materials to effectively communicate our value proposition to customers and partners.
· Execution focused; mindful of key milestones and a demonstrated ability to provide executive reporting on new business opportunities.
· Working with category/product analytics and strategic cross functional teams to determine go-to-market strategies.
· Create the development and research activities to build on the company strengths, identifies potential new markets and business opportunities, increases market share, and strengthens our competitive edge within the industry.
· Creates and implements account business development activities including gap identification and account discovery process with complete organization engagement.
· Stay abreast of relevant market events and trends; anticipate market direction while continually evaluating, identifying, and developing new avenues for business growth.
· Own analyses that provide actionable insights into business metrics, issues, and opportunities; track, analyze and communicate to key members of the leadership team.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
· 5 years of experience in business development, market research, or related fields.
· Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience with financial modeling and data analysis.
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
· Effective at planning and leading execution
· Proven track record of developing and executing successful business development strategies.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.
· Ability to learn quickly and become knowledgeable of the brands, products and company systems/processes
· Experience in the CPG industry.
