Job Summary
Assist the Admissions Director in all operations of the Admissions Office in furtherance of achieving specified enrollment goals. Responsible for student recruitment for all programs, rendering admissions decisions, providing assistance in the use of the latest technological resources and tools connected to the profession, and participating in the planning of activities and /or events that enhance the college’s overall enrollment. Work in concert with other admission staff members to monitor, assess, and continually improve the effectiveness of recruitment and enrollment activities
Establish outreach within surrounding communities to provide information regarding the college, its academic programs and support services. Create and adhere to a territory action plan with the Director of Admissions that will contribute to overall College enrollment and is aligned with the strategic planning goals for targeted populations Conduct recruiting visits at high schools, local businesses and community events. Develop professional relationships with high school guidance counselors, teachers, and corporate and community members to acquaint them to higher education possibilities for students at CCM. Conducts pre-admission interviews with prospective students. Review admissions applications for acceptance and processing, review transcripts for transfer students to determine if placement testing is required, review AP scores for credit. Enter applications, equivalencies and test scores, change majors, add and remove holds, assign letters, complete weekly admissions statistics, etc. Assist with the planning and coordination of on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruitment events such as but not limited to open houses, information sessions, and regional college fairs.

Qualifications - Education
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree desirable.

Qualifications - Experience
Minimum of one (1) of college recruitment experience preferred.

Qualifications - Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service.
  • Organizational abilities.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a student information system, preferably the Ellucian Colleague system, document imaging system and CRM systems
