Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Jersey City, New Jersey. Design, develop, and support software applications for Payments Platform critical to daily processing of inbound and outbound cash flows across Goldman Sachs. Maintain and develop Payments Platform Data Warehouse application which is a critical conduit for payment related regulatory reports. Gather user requirements, identify new areas of improvement, and implement large scale data and computational changes in the Firm’s GS Search platform. Onboard new client consumers into the Payments Warehouse application and analyze the right solution for their use case. Push high quality, modular, secure, optimized, testable and maintainable code which utilizes specialized data repositories like Mongo and Sybase IQ for high volume use cases. Contribute to designing new features which seamlessly integrate and scale up with other parts of a large-scale Payments Platform distributed application. Solve large-scale information retrieval and data mining problems in the Payments Warehouse domain. Handle large amounts of structured and unstructured data and implementing solutions to extract meaningful signals out of it.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have two (2) years of experience with: working with data structures, time and space complexity, object-oriented design, and handling multi-threaded systems; designing and developing software in an object-oriented language such as Java; working with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) such as software testing, build processes, and source code management; working with SQL or NoSQL distributed database systems; working on Unix-like systems and version control tools such as GIT or SVN; working with Data Warehouse design and implementation; working with Sybase IQ or MongoDB databases; working with messaging infrastructure such as Kafka, Java Message Service (JMS), or enhanced Message Service (EMS); working with Java Spring Framework; working with Domain Model concepts and projections; and working with UI Frameworks such as Angular or React.
Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this Jersey City, New Jersey, United States-based position is $115,000 - $180,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
