Title: Corporate Manager of Benefits


Location Details: Must live a commutable distance to any one of our four plant locations: Irving, TX; Mocksville, NC; Wells, MN; Westfield, WI.


Reports to: Director of Benefits and Safety


Remote: Hybrid


Location Details: Must live a commutable distance to any one of our four plant locations: Irving, TX; Mocksville, NC; Wells, MN; Westfield, WI.


Summary: The Corporate Manager of Benefits is responsible for design, management, and administration of employee benefits at all company locations. Assists with the strategic planning and initiatives related to employee benefits. Provide professional knowledge and expertise in the administration and support for employee benefits at all facilities. This position pursues cutting edge innovations that save healthcare dollars for the Plan as well as for its members.


Essential Functions:


Overall Responsibility for Day-to-Day Benefit Operations. The incumbent handles logistics associated with benefits operations. In doing so, the incumbent is responsible for department staffing, logistics and other activities associated with handling the benefits needs of our team members.


Loss Reduction. This position will continually evaluate and make recommendations for improvements to our programs, vendors, COE partners, Rx procurement, health plan TPA, and the benefit broker/advisor. This position will analyze current and potential partners and strategies for their ability to control and reduce health plan losses.


Benefits Data. This position requires the ability to review large amounts of data to spot problem areas, and to act accordingly. The outcomes of these actions must result in improvements for our health plan, and financial well-being of our team members and plan participants. The incumbent will continually review our various benefit offerings to ensure that Brakebush benefits improve recruitment and retention.


Required Qualifications:


  • 4+ years of experience managing a team. Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • 7+ years of experience in increasingly complex benefits role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills to audiences of varying size.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources or a closely related field.
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working in the food or manufacturing industries
  • SHRM-CP, PHR or CEBS professional designations
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Prior SAP user experience


Supervisory Responsibility: Directly supervises Corporate Benefits Supervisor.


Work Environment: The work environment is an office environment with standard temperatures and normal office noise levels.


Physical Demands: This position would be primarily sitting with little to no lifting or other physical demands.


Position Type: Hybrid, Exempt, Full-time position.


Travel: Occasional travel as necessary.
