Job Description
Overview:
The mission of Princeton University Department of Athletics is to strive for excellence in academics and athletics, while embracing equity in opportunity, good sportsmanship, and ethical conduct. In keeping with this mission, the role of the Coordinator of Football Operations is to support a quality varsity program that will challenge and develop the physical, mental and personal abilities of student-athletes of a Division I program.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as host to all game day recruiting events.
  • Order and distribute all recruiting services to assistant coaches.
  • Oversee NCAA Clearinghouse for freshmen.
  • Summer camp assistant director – dates, locations, equipment, field set up, registration, manual, tents, store, meals, medical staff, ordering shirts, payroll, and the schedule, etc.
  • Assist Head Coach with team aspects of football program, including team meeting preparation, motivational videos, etc.
  • Serve as liaison to facilities for all stadium field grooming, yard markers, equipment.
  • Coordinate alumni functions and career nights.
  • Plan logistics for all recruiting weekends including travel, meals, meetings, identifying student hosts, and the NCAA / Ivy
  • Serve as Liaison to admissions and financial aid.
  • Coordinate training camp schedule with head coach and all logistics, including jersey #s, forms, fields, player arrivals and housing, dining hall, student interns, video, snacks, etc.
  • Coordinate all aspects of team travel (schedule, hotel, bus, meals).
  • Schedule all team meals both for home games and training camp
  • Oversee [email protected] email account and filter incoming messages.
  • Oversee recruiting depth charts for head coach.
  • Oversee academic info, and transcripts into ARMS database
  • Plan logistics for junior visit days and meet with walk-in summer unofficial visitors when necessary.
  • Coordinate all Community service functions
  • Coordinate recruiting calendar with Recruiting Coordinator.
  • League official visit compliance forms and all other prep
  • File all NCAA compliance forms.
  • Oversee recruit mailings and mass emails to prospect
  • Serve as Pro Scout liaison.
  • Serve as liaison with athletic department staff and University personnel.
  • Secure in season and winter workout/spring practice logistics with athletic department, campus partners.
  • Coordinate all in season itineraries – calendar, weekly reminders, class schedules.
  • Adhere to Ivy League and NCAA regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Must have database manipulation knowledge.
  • Must be trusted with confidential material.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Necessary computer skills such as word processing, mail merging, and desktop publishing.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Must recognize the importance and of recruiting to the success of the football program.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Applicant must know NCAA recruiting rules and pass compliance test annually.
