Coordinator, Education And Understanding

SUMMARY:

The Coordinator for Education and Understanding will be a self-starting individual with a desire to work in media education and social impact.

Based at our Los Angeles campus in Historic Filipinotown, the ideal Coordinator candidate will be a highly efficient multi-tasker who will contribute to the development and distribution of media-centered educational publications inspired by ARRAY’s film and television productions. This is a unique experience to learn various facets of media education and non-profit arts management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work under the direction of the VP of Education and Understanding to execute ARRAY’s film-based education initiatives.
• Coordinate well-researched original content for learning websites, printed publications, video assets and social media assets related to ARRAY Alliance’s education and understanding initiatives.
• Assist with the revision of previously published materials, including film and television learning curriculums, presentation materials and toolkits ensuring overall consistency and tone.
• Engage and collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders, including internal staff, educators, industry experts, vendors and external partners.
• Attend external film, nonprofit and education programs and other events to network and stay abreast of happenings in the field.
• Track the status of ARRAY’s educator outreach campaigns and work with team members to generate post-launch recap reports that illustrate the scope of our education initiatives.
• Maintain ARRAY’s education schedule and update calendars, documents and spreadsheets related to education initiatives, as needed.
• Research and engage with subject matter experts who can contribute to ARRAY’s educational publications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good self-starter with the ability to work within tight timelines, juggle multiple high priority requests and meet deadlines effectively.
• General understanding of website design and graphic publications.
• A firm interest in education, film, television and non-profit arts as well as a passion for inclusive representation of underrepresented communities in all aspects of the entertainment industry.
• Proficiency in multiple applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• High attention to detail, strong communication, strategic planning, organizational and project management skills; Ability to support several simultaneous projects.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to conduct online research and deliver information to readers concisely and effectively.
