The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute (RRPFI) is the sole nonprofit organization created by President Reagan charged with continuing his legacy and sharing his principles - individual liberty, economic opportunity, global democracy and national pride. The Foundation is a non-partisan organization which sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, CA, the Reagan Center for Public Affairs, the Presidential Learning Center, The Air Force One Pavilion, the award-winning Discovery Center and the Reagan Institute, which carries out the Foundation’s mission in Washington, D.C.The Reagan Library houses over 55 million pages of Gubernatorial, Presidential and personal papers and over 60,000 gifts and artifacts chronicling the lives of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. Education at RRPFI

Education work at RRPFI stems from Ronald Reagan’s Farewell Address and his call for an “informed patriotism.” We aim to cultivate the next generation of citizen-leaders through field trips, programs, speaker events, leadership camp, e-learning, community partnerships, teacher trainings, speech and debate competitions, scholarships, internships, and for-credit university programs. Through a hybrid approach of onsite and online offerings, we aim to engage students in training and experiences around Leadership, Communication, and Decision-Making over an extended period of time and multiple engagements. Our goal is to increase the scope and impact of our work in ways that are sustainable over time. To strengthen our network of program alumni, our engagement efforts will develop strong relationships with alumni to build a lifelong affinity to RRPFI, support them in their future leadership journeys by providing unique value, and increase awareness of other RRPFI programs and opportunities.

The person hired for this full-time position must be a take-charge professional with the organizational, management, facilitation, decision-making, and event running skills necessary to supervise staff, lead education and public programs, and deliver national programming as part of the work of the RRPFI Education work. The person will research, coordinate, and manage education programs with civics education themes in an effective, efficient, and creative manner. They will also research, design and conduct outreach and networking building locally and nationally.In addition, as part of the Reagan Foundation, there will be special projects and initiatives geared toward high school and college students to promote President Reagan’s legacy of leadership.

Position and Responsibilities

As the Education Programs and Outreach Manager, you will be part of the Education Management team and report to the Director of Learning and Engagement and work across a flat collaborative team.Specific responsibilities include:

Programs

·Manage communication, implementation, growth, and evaluation of the annual Reagan Leadership Medal program, a national recognition program for outstanding high school seniors.

·In collaboration with the Debate Coordinator, successfully design processes to deliver world class regional Great Communicator Debate Series across the country.

·Design and deliver teacher curriculum and training programs of various lengths, that leverage primary source materials and promote engaged and informed citizens and leaders.

·Build and participate in local, state, and national networks, committees, connecting the RRPFI team/resources into the larger civics, museum, education and digital learning communities.

·Manage online resources, eLearning content creation, and digital platforms.

·Oversee and manage the scheduling and priorities of support staff including but not limited to: Education Admin Coordinator, Great Communicator Debate Series coordinator; support other program coordinators, RLC team members, interns, etc.

·Strategically prepare annual conference calendar, and submit conference proposals and oversee conference presentation and exhibition calendar and present, exhibit, and attend state and national conferences, on-site, out-of-town, out-of-state and on-line as needed.

·Support the design of the implementation of the Reagan Leadership Summit including audience building, content creation, and program creation alongside the Alumni Coordinator.

·Develop and track metrics of success and data analysis for program impact, and produce annual report of programs.

·Coordinate and integrate with other Foundation and Library teams and external consultants on Education projects and programs.

Outreach/Events

·Organize and align internal meetings to ensure external success.

·Lead coordination and execution of Education programs and outreach, on and off site, including Youth Town Hall, Speaker Forums, and more, while observing rigorous safety and quality standards.

·Coordinate with internal resources and external partners during event planning process; build networks and collaborative initiatives post event and conferences.

·Work with Operations and Events Manager to create and execute event Play-By-Plays, manage event and network logistics, and delegate tasks to support team members.

·Coordinate across departments to make sure staffing needs are met.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, all employees are expected to participate in, and assist with, other Foundation events outside the direct scope of the Education team; and other additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A successful candidate for this position should possess:

·A record of success in developing, executing, and iterating museum or education programs and/or initiatives.

·A demonstrated capacity to manage and execute programs on time.

·A strong working knowledge of educational technologies, innovations, and web-based and cloud-based programming.

·The ability to convey a professional image, as well as effectively represent the organization on a local, state and national level.

·Demonstrated ability to effectively work as part of a team and to multi-task.

·Strong management, motivational, and organizational skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.

·Clear and effective oral and written communication skills.

·Agility and capability to coordinate and integrate with current Foundation and Library staff.

Requirements:

·Bachelor's degree required.Addition certification and/or Masters preferred, in education, history or related field.

·Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all staff.

·A minimum of 3 years of education (classroom, museum, curriculum development) experience required.

·Experience in the classroom, or classroom adjacent, leading student programming, and making conference presentations.

·Strong experience in educational program development, implementation, and evaluation.

·A strong working knowledge of educational technologies, innovations, and web-based programming preferred.

·Desire and motivation to educate students at all levels.

·Experience in collaborative management, or as department head, a plus.

·Ability and willingness to travel as needed by the program.

·Ability to work evening, holiday, and weekend hours to support Education programming and Foundation events.

Salary/ Benefits/ Location:

·This is an exempt full-time position. Occasional evenings and weekends for special events are required.

·Benefits include the opportunity to participate in a retirement program as well as Sick and Vacation time based on hours accrued per pay period and years of service.

·Salary will be commensurate with experience.

·The position will be located onsite at The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, Simi Valley, California.
