Job Description
The role of the Program Coordinator is to help ensure the success and effective functioning of the Civic Engagement Program. As such, this position entails performing a variety of administrative and program-management tasks.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manages team performance toward program goals by implementing sound-data reporting practices to track project task deliverables, timelines, and budgets. This will include performing data intake, validation, and reporting.
  • Organizes team meetings and manages minutes and action items.
  • Manages program communications, including creating and distributing literature and multimedia materials, such as fliers, brochures, and social media posts that advertise available programs.
  • Assists in engaging community members directly for the recruitment and retention of program participants and volunteers; participating in voter contact efforts by phone or in person; and participating in other events of the Community Initiatives Division.
  • Handles the logistics, planning, and implementation of Civic Engagement Program events. These include large-scale events, such as candidate forums, block walks, and field trips, and smaller-scale events, such as training classes and small group meetings.
