What To Expect
The Role:
The Controls Engineer in Castings will be responsible for developing, implementing, commissioning, troubleshooting and programming robot applications, conveyor systems, equipment such as the largest die cast machines in the world (Giga Press) and process/equipment monitoring systems within our castings shop. In addition, will collaborate with the maintenance team to fix and improve equipment failures and assist design engineers in the selection of electronic components for equipment.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities:Overall responsibility for all controls related activities in the shop, leading and assisting production in all controls related topics and issues. Support and assist maintenance team in troubleshooting difficult breakdowns and chronic equipment failures. Responsible for implementing and managing continuous process optimization including the addition of advanced and conventional technologies to improve quality, productivity and reduce overall waste. Exceptional with FANUC robotics and Siemens PLCs Well versed with software and hardware PLC changes Develop & maintain proper documentation of all electrical equipment and associated
procedures, making updates as required by modificationsOptimization and improvement of human machine interfaces, and SCADA systems and
MES interfaces.
qualification inspections.Understand and program using several different programming styles, including ladder
logic, structured text.
Requirements:BS in electrical, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering. 3+ years of professional controls engineering experience. 3+ years of advanced PLC programming knowledge on Rockwell, Siemens and equivalent

What You’ll Do
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for designing, selecting, managing, programming, and commissioning of
- Identify weak areas of the production systems using root cause analysis and first
- Implement and maintain quality control methods including poke yokes, data tracking
- Creation and improvements of equipment safety standards, and the implementation of
- Generate aesthetically simple HMI screens for complex machinery while providing sufficient feedback for troubleshooting.

- Managing the network and hardware IT infrastructure
- Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, pneumatic and fluid plumbing
Requirements:
- Safety PLCs (Beckhoff, Siemens and Allen Bradley).
- In depth knowledge of Safety standards (ANSI/RIA15.06, OSHA)
- Understanding of databases (MSSQL, MySQL) and various program languages (Java, Python).
- Proficient in CAD working with electrical diagrams and prints.
- Proficiency selecting appropriate circuit protectors, wire and cable, sensors, safety
- In depth knowledge of Electrical Standards (NFPA79, National Electric code, UL508A)
- Proven project management experience.
- Fanuc robotics programming skills desired.
- Human Machine Interface (HMI / GUI - Beckhoff View, WinCC, Ignition)
- HMI programming experience – Ignition and Siemens
- Experience with Vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, Fanuc)
