RemoteWe are looking for an entry level Engineer to join our Flight Controls team and contribute to the development of flight control products for the next generation of business, regional, military, and air-transport aircraft. Typical functions to implement include flight guidance, autothrottle, autopilot, maintenance, and autoland systems for Business and Regional and Air Transport aircraft. This position represents a great opportunity to apply your software engineering skills to actual real-time embedded systems with critical safety requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conducting requirements based testing of flight controls software
- Implementing control algorithms and signal processing for flight control systems. This encompasses both hand-coding and integrating auto-generated code from MATLAB Simulink / Stateflow models into a software application.
- Defining and reviewing software requirements for flight control systems, including interface requirements.
- Experience with MATLAB Simulink would be a plus, as well as general knowledge of aviation and/or flight control systems.
- Previous experience with object oriented development embedded software development is desired, as well as familiarity with software requirement and configuration management tools.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

The salary range for this role is 52,000 USD - 98,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
