Web Content Writer – Remote

We are actively seeking a detail oriented, creative Web Content Writer for a remote, contract assignment with a world-renowned healthcare organization. The Web Content Writer manages content projects for consumer web properties, collaborates on content strategy, and assigns and reviews copy. This individual manages a variety of web content projects, including section overhauls and new content production. Additionally, this individual will offer demonstrated experience synthesizing complex medical information into original web content that is both search, and consumer friendly.

Web Content Writer Responsibilities:

• Provides input on the development and refinement of website content strategy to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
• Proactively reviews site content for brand standards, grammar, internal and AP style, quality, and readability.
• Collaborates in the development of style guidelines and other internal process documentation.
• Uses web expertise and professional judgment to make content decisions based on best practices and stakeholder feedback.
• Fosters a web presence and a work environment that is respectful and inclusive.
• Works independently in collaboration with subject matter experts, marketing staff and other stakeholders to communicate best practices for branding, search engine optimization (SEO), user experience (UX) and content performance.
• Keeps abreast of digital health trends and web best practices and identifies opportunities for improvement.

Web Content Writer Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to deliver against established deadlines and work within sometimes limited time frames.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Asana, Google Analytics, photo editing for web applications, Sitecore, and HTML is highly desirable.
• Ability to work fully remote, with dedicated space in adherence with agreed upon schedule.
• Excellent verbal, writing, strategic thinking, conceptualization, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Bachelor’s degree required in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Proficient in search engine optimization (SEO) content techniques and keyword research
• 4 - 7 years of experience as a professional writer specializing in developing website content.
• Expert in writing and proofreading in accordance with Associated Press (AP) Style.
