Get to Know the Opportunity:
The Compliance Analyst will be a key compliance contact for all broker and counterparty compliance requests. Specifically, the Compliance Analyst will be responsible for assisting in ensuring that all new brokers and existing brokers are approved in accordance with Voya Policies and Procedures and applicable regulation. The Compliance Analyst will also be responsible for gathering, organizing and delivering data and documentation supporting new client onboarding and account maintenance functions as necessary to facilitate the timely set up and maintenance of client accounts with dealers for derivatives trading (OTC and cleared derivatives, futures, and TBAs) in satisfaction of dealers’ internal credit and know-your-client (KYC) policies, as well as regulatory compliance purposes (Dodd Frank, EMIR, CFTC Rules, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), etc.). The Compliance Analyst will also assist in the monitoring for Shareholding Disclosure Reporting requirements and other regulatory filings.
The Contributions You’ll Make:
  • Liaise with Client Services, Middle Office Operations, Legal, and Compliance and advise on requirements or deliverables
  • Contribute ideas and participation to further improve and streamline the KYC and new broker processes as well as participate in strategic change initiatives to implement new technology, controls and efficiencies where needed
  • Maintain an internal list of all current clients with required attributes set forth by management. Assist with serving as the key point of contact for all onboarding and offboarding of clients for the Investment Advisory Compliance Team.
  • Analyze client documentation and information for accuracy, and determine adequacy thereof based upon dealer requirements, account type and products traded
  • Support the maintenance of policies and procedures as they relate to KYC aspects of client onboarding, new brokers and regulatory reporting
  • Other projects, tasks and duties as assigned
  • Review daily shareholding records to ascertain whether shareholding disclosure reporting requirements have been triggered
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for KYC and other required documents or information from internal groups and dealers
  • Interact with internal teams to obtain compliance-related information prior to establishing any broker relationship in accordance with applicable regulations and Voya policies
  • Work closely with Legal and Compliance teams on applicable regulatory implications and requirements of KYC and client onboarding process, as well as shareholding disclosure reporting and other regulatory filings
  • Assist with regulatory filings as required, working with Legal to submit 13D and 13G filings, as well as the quarterly 13F filing for Voya

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or relevant areas of study.
Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
  • Ability to work independently with assigned tasks and display strong collaboration and team-work skills to meet goals in support of efficient and timely client onboarding and account maintenance
  • Familiarity U.S. KYC rules and best practices
  • Familiarity with various client account types (mutual funds, collective trusts, SMA, etc.), derivatives products, trade systems, operations, document and data management technology
  • Individual should have a compliance and risk control mindset, strive for high quality standards and display strong analytical skills in documentation and related regulatory compliance obligations
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 1 year recent or relevant compliance or operations experience dealing with counterparties and/or brokers and/or general Investment Advisory Compliance experience preferably in asset management or a broker-dealer

Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$76,560 - $95,700 USD
