The COMPENSATION ANALYST Position


Sunnova Energy is currently searching for a Compensation Analyst to support the Compensation Team and assist with the company’s broad based compensation programs. This position will play a critical role in the company’s growth plans as we develop and maintain our compensation programs to compete in attracting and retaining top talent. The role will assist with our corporate strategic and aggressive development plans reporting to the Sr. Manager, Compensation and Benefits.


COMPENSATION ANALYST Responsibilities


  • Compensation Structure – Assist with creation and maintenance of the broad-based salary compensation structure, including its implementation in the pricing tools, and utilizes the compensation structure in the pricing process ensuring adjustments comply with current pay policies and practices.
  • HR Metrics - Reports on various metrics, develops dashboard, creates charts, graphs, and ad-hoc reports.
  • Supports Sr. Manager, Compensation and Benefits on projects as requested.
  • Incentive Plans – Annual Bonus, Merit, Commission/Sales Plans – Assists in the preparation of the Short-term Incentive (“STI”) and Long-term Incentive (“LTI”) budgets, modeling, design, reporting, administration of Short-term Incentive Plan (“STIP”), administration of commission/sales plans, data collection for STI analysis, and employee communication.
  • Job Pricing/Benchmarking/Surveys – Utilizes market pricing tools, administers the compensation benchmarking process, prepares offers, conducts, and executes compensation surveys.
  • Job Architecture and s – Analyzes and assesses job including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job. Prepares and maintains job descriptions for completeness and accuracy according to company’s organizational structure.


Minimum Requirements


  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and data management, including MS Excel; PowerPoint and HRIS systems.
  • Minimum years of experience required: 2 years of broad-based compensation and analytical experience.
  • Education required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.


Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Ability to manage and multi-task on projects.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform work under general supervision.
  • Proficient with research and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Analytical, strategic, and detail-oriented mind set is must.
