Job Description

At Demand.io (https://demand.io), we help people find, discover, compare, and shop the things they’ll love. We’re a product-driven e-commerce company applying web3 and AI principles to make shopping easier, more community-driven, and more rewarding.

As the Community Manager for SimplyCodes — the world's most powerful community-driven coupon database — you'll be the voice and the heartbeat of our users, and an important champion of the brand. You'll work closely with our users to ensure they have the most fruitful experience with our product. You'll also be creating and curating engaging content and campaigns that will keep our community active and excited about our brand. Your KPIs will be user engagement, in-app referral activity, and new user retention.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead events (digital and/or physical) that celebrate and engage SimplyCodes users
  • Respond to user inquiries, feedback, and issues in a timely and professional manner in line with SimplyCodes brand ethos
  • Write and schedule user-focused email campaigns to support the content marketing efforts
  • Help develop campaigns and create new marketing initiatives to enhance user retention and engagement and champion a community-first mentality for the company
  • Work with the Content Marketing Manager to develop and set community standards and guidelines with clear goals for what we wish to accomplish with the community
  • Prepare with the VP of Marketing a set of community health metrics that are indicative of user engagement and satisfaction to be presented company-wide
  • Serve as the voice of users to provide feedback and insight to the internal team to effect new marketing initiatives or product features that deliver real value to the user experience
  • Work within the Marketing team and collaborate closely with Product to help build an active community (on platforms like Discord) focused on the discussion and excitement of new product developments, user experience questions and issues, social media activity (with the content team), and the growth of overall user activity and in-app referrals

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write and speak in a brand voice
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in managing online communities — particularly user advocacy and discussions, social media conversations, and ambassador and/or influencer marketing
  • Passion for community building and user advocacy
  • Analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
  • Experience building and growing an active community of users and/or players for consumer platforms, marketplace models, or gaming is a major plus.
  • Knowledge of how to activate and tailor ambassador communities on platforms like Discord.
