Commercial Processor - Remote Option Available

The Commercial Processor supports the Commercial Underwriting unit. In addition, the processor keeps the flow of business requests, including endorsements & other policy related documents moving through designated processes within the department. In some cases, the position requires use of independent judgment, but, typically, relies on pre-established procedures and guidelines to perform the primary job functions. Also, the role participates in compliance audits and periodic user testing of product changes, enhancements, etc.

Essential Duties:

• Evaluates workflows & provides input on modification of same; interacts with I.T. and other Departments in the process of testing Commercial product changes &/or enhancements under guidance of management.
• Responsible for prequalifying new business applications and renewal information for analysis and quote handling by the underwriter.Supports the Underwriting Unit in loss control tasks & compliance follow up, outstanding file documentation, and other general underwriting tasks.Enters financial & policy/rating data into rating software platform.
• Responds to and conducts regular follow-ups with agents/underwriters/accounting/premium finance companies for additional underwriting and billing information, applications, and various payment resolutions.
• Other projects or duties may be assigned
• Handles a variety of commercial tasks – including data entry, property rating, policy issuance, endorsements, and cancellations.
• Processes policy endorsements in line with authority or as approved.
• Runs basic business analytics reports & other various operational status reports for Department management.

Education and Experience:

• Completion of insurance education coursework INS 21, 22, 23 series required within 1 year.
• 1-year to 3-years of related experience or training or a combination of education and experience.
• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred.
