Job Summary
As a Loan Processing Specialist, you will play a vital role in our organization by assisting loan applicants through the entire application process. From verifying information to compiling essential documents, you will ensure that each loan application is thoroughly reviewed and accurately processed. Your exceptional communication skills will come into play as you interact with customers, answering their questions and providing guidance throughout the process.
General Responsibilities
Comprehensive Verification: Ensure the accuracy and authenticity of loan applications and closing documents, meticulously examining each detail.
Customer Assistance: Conduct interviews with loan applicants, gathering necessary personal and financial data while offering valuable support in completing applications.
Document Compilation: Assemble and compile essential documents for loan closings, including title abstracts, insurance forms, loan forms, and tax receipts.
Customer Communication: Engage with customers via mail, telephone, or in person to provide updates on the status of their applications and address any queries they may have.
Precise Record-Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date loan records, accurately recording loan information, credit details, and disbursements.
Loan Application Preparation: Skillfully prepare and type loan applications, closing documents, legal paperwork, letters, forms, government notices, and checks.
Loan Presentations: Present loan terms and repayment schedules to customers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their financial obligations.
Thorough Financial Analysis: Carefully calculate, review, and correct any errors related to interest, principal, payments, and closing costs.
Collateral Assessment: Verify the value of customer collateral held as loan security, providing a comprehensive evaluation.
Credit and Reference Checks: Contact credit bureaus, employers, and other sources to verify applicants' credit history and personal references.
Loan Closing Coordination: Schedule and conduct smooth mortgage transaction closings, ensuring all necessary parties are present and informed.
Account Management: Accept payment on accounts, maintaining accurate and updated financial records.
Job Qualifications
Education: Completion of on-the-job training; formal certification in loan processing is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in loan processing, demonstrating a strong understanding of the industry.
Skills
