Scope of Job Duties: To be considered for this opportunity, you must at a minimum, demonstrate knowledge, skill and ability to:
- Collect & process cash, checks, cards, & other payments primarily for property taxes.
- Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills in verbal, written, and electronic formats.
- Review and enter Name & Address changes; enter account/parcel numbers into formatted excel spreadsheet with accuracy, speed, and high attention to detail.
- Reconcile collections against subsystems and respond to questions about payments.
- Operate Mail Opener to open and prepare incoming property tax payments for processing.
- Identify payments that cannot be posted and return to sender for various reasons.
- Support one or more processing teams to include Cashiers, Revenue Collections, and others as assigned.
- Are a team player with a "can-do" attitude!
- Ability to work in the office.
- 10-Key proficiency with high attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Can work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Ability to lift a tray of mail (less than ten pounds)
- Experience with SharePoint, MS Teams and other collaborative online tools
- Experience with LEAN processes and principles
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel

Other Position Information:
This position is Non-Exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is therefore is overtime eligible. Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule, every other Thursday, comprising of 35 hour workweek; 7 to 8 hours shifts within the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This position is represented by Teamsters 117.
The work associated with this position will primarily be %100 in office. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
