Commercial Manager Jobs

ACCIONA is looking for a Commercial Manager for an important Project in North America for the Construction Business Line.

Responsabilities:

• Implementation of the Commercial and Contractual management policies, procedures and systems.

• Implementation of the Procurement Management Plan and policies.

• Implementation of a risk management culture across the Project aimed to an early identification and mitigation of commercial risks.

• Provision of commercial and contractual advice to the project leadership team.

• Management of downstream commercial matters with subcontractors and design consultants, including but not limited to procurement, subcontracts administration, changes and claims.

• Manage any contract claims and disputes that may be arisen.

• Provide direction, leadership and advise to the commercial team for successful project execution.

• Prepare, maintain and facilitate access to the entire Project’s commercial documentation.

• Ensure that the review on all commercial matters relating to the project is made to the highest standard of diligence.

• Develop and maintain a good understanding of the contractual, commercial and financial issues on the project.

• Assisting the Project Director to develop the quality, health & safety and environmental goals for the Project; and promoting achievement of these goals within the full project team.

• Ensuring compliance with Federal, Provincial, and local laws, particularly applicable Occupational Health & Safety Acts/Construction Safety Act regulations and environmental requirements.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in civil engineering, construction, or similar.

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in each of the following:

o Commercial management of infrastructure projects with value of US$ 500M+

o Working as part of an international joint venture.

• Proven record of delivering commercial outcomes on major projects.

• Proven contractual and commercial management ability at senior level.

• Thorough knowledge of contract language and legal requirements of contracts.

• Excellent people management and leadership skills.

• Excellent teamwork, organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to operate at the senior management level of the organization in a JV environment.

• P3 project experience will be valued positively.

• Previous experience working in US will be valued positively.

• Excellent command of English.
