We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in AMERICAS at Westerville, Ohio

Job Purpose:

Responsible for management of DPDHL construction projects across the entire construction project lifecycle to ensure building improvements are completed on time, to budget and to the quality required. Construction Project Management includes renovations of or improvements to existing or acquired properties as well as larger scale ground up construction associated with industrial warehouse/distribution facilities. Responsible for overall coordination with Corporate Real Estate team. Acts as a single point of contact for all construction matters. Effectively manages all necessary third parties involved ensuring all standards and statutory requirements are met. Responsible for building business unit relationships, accurately setting and meeting expectations. Provide business partners with a proactive, knowledgeable point of contact and communicator for construction and building related issues. Projects are sub-regional with single business unit scope.

Your tasks:

• Cost evaluation. Achieve competitive costs vs market benchmarks
• Managing expectations including budget and project delivery process. Minimize business risks of construction
• Reporting/communication.
• Project delivery/Project Management. On time, on budget completion
• Achieve planned delivery dates
• Project Due Diligence
• Tender/Bid Process
• Minimize change orders and added costs
• Lead and Manage Construction Processes including:
• Contractor Oversight/ Quality Control
• Scheduling
• Budget and Change Order Management
• Project scoping/specifications. Inclusion of necessary project elements
• Punchlist/ Project Close-out
• Ensure receipt of specified product and expected quality
• Planning
• Proposal preparation. Vendor coordination
• Permitting

Your Profile

• Relevant University Degree e.g. in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Architecture, or other Real Estate related field
• 2-3 years of relevant Construction Management/Owner’s Representative experience (General Contractor, Construction Project Management/Consulting Firm, large corporation In-House Owner’s Rep)
• Membership in Professional Real Estate Institutions preferred
• 1+ years of leadership experience preferred (staff or vendor leadership)
